About New North
New North is a non-profit association that assists in advocating on behalf of 35 Northern Communities within the Northern Saskatchewan Administrative District (NSAD).
Originally founded in the city of Prince Albert on October 18, 1996 at one of its founding gatherings, New North is located in the tri-community of Air Ronge.
To maintain accountability and ensure equality within the membership, New North has an Executive Board that is made up of 5 Mayors and/or Councillors from its 35 member communities. These 5 members represent all of the 4 regions; Far North, East, West and Central and 1 Member at Large.
The Interim CEO is responsible for maintaining the administrative day to day operations as well as providing up to date municipal training and information gatherings for its member communities.
New North's Chair Mayor, Georgina Jolibois will be announcing the successful CEO applicant in the near future.
